| Requirements and Responsibilities For Physician - Urgent Care |
| Provide immediate outpatient medical services for acute and chronic conditions that are not life threatening but require prompt attention. Diagnoses and treats illnesses and injuries, performs minor procedures, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and refers patients to specialists as needed. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a medical director. Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. |
