Requirements and Responsibilities For Physician - CCU
Specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and support of critically ill patients. Treats patients in critical/coronary care unit to ensure proper care and disease diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a medical director. Years of experience may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.
