| Administers nursing care in an outpatient facility or clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse or other medical supervisor. Takes patient history and performs initial physical evaluation of patient's condition. Provides basic medical care, including changing bandages, administering prescribed medication, and collecting specimens. May be responsible for patient triage. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a registered nurse or supervisor. Requires graduation from approved LPN educational program. Requires a state license to practice. Years of experience may be unspecified.
