Requirements and Responsibilities For Resident Care Assistant
Responsible for assisting residents with daily activities in a skilled nursing, assisted living, or similar facility. Assists with administering medications, documenting care provided, and communicating with healthcare professionals. May assist with the planning and executing of activities for residents on a regularly scheduled basis. May accompany residents on shopping trips, medical appointments, and other outings. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. May require 0-1 year of general work experience.
