Requirements and Responsibilities For Physician - Neurology |
Specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, nervous system, and muscles. Addresses conditions ranging from migraines and epilepsy to complex diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and strokes. Recommends and orders tests to determine extent of illness or help diagnose condition. Consults with patients to determine the appropriate course of treatment. Requires a MD. Requires State License to Practice. Typically reports to a medical director. Years of experience may be unspecified.
