| Requirements and Responsibilities For Nursing Supervisor - Physician Practice |
| Supervises the team responsible for providing nursing services in a physician office site. Responsible for implementing all nursing services in compliance with current local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Monitors the quality of patient care and services and makes recommendations and/or adjustments as needed. May provide direct patient care and is responsible for evaluating patient health. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in nursing. Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager. Supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. |
