| Requirements and Responsibilities For Policy Processing Team Leader |
| Responsible for modifying, updating, and processing existing policies and claims to reflect any changes in beneficiary, amount of coverage, or type of insurance. Evaluates information from application for completeness, accuracy, and policy requirements. Responds to questions from customers, processes payments, issues premium notices, and enters billing/account changes. May cancel policies for late or no payment of premium. Handles more complex policy transactions. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. |
