| Requirements and Responsibilities For Backend Development Manager |
| Manages the development of scalable back-end solutions for server applications. Implements standard frameworks and source control tools to develop and test web services and API's and ensure product functionality, speed, and security. Oversees the architecture and development of backend systems, ensuring best practices in code quality, testing, and documentation. Collaborates with stakeholders to gather functional requirements, troubleshoot complex issues and roadblocks, and ensure alignment with business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
