| Requirements and Responsibilities For VP of Manufacturing |
| Oversees an organization's manufacturing strategy, planning, and operations to ensure cost-effective production, high-quality standards, and continuous process improvement. Plans and oversees a manufacturing organization's production, scheduling, and supply chain operations. Plans and forecasts resource needs for equipment, materials, and workforce to ensure sufficient manufacturing capacity and adherence to budget constraints. Integrates operational safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and cost control standards into all manufacturing processes. Researches and adopts process designs, technologies, and methods that improve operational efficiency or manufacturing quality and implements changes with minimal business disruptions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Typically requires 8+ years of managerial experience. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
