Requirements and Responsibilities For Fire Safety Technician
Conducts inspections of fire equipment and alarms. Ensures equipment complies with all current safety regulations and codes. Prepares reports and documents hazards for authorities. Has extensive knowledge of codes, ordinances, construction materials, and alarm systems. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. Works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Typically requires 1-3 years of related experience.
