| Requirements and Responsibilities For SVP of Category Management |
| Plans, leads, and oversees all aspects of an organization's category management department. Leads the development and execution of enterprise-wide category management strategies. Oversees the implementation of category management to achieve company's strategies and financial goals. Responsible for defining processes, establishing best practices, and driving initiatives to optimize category performance. Reviews metrics and KPIs to monitor category performance and identifies areas for improvement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Manages a business unit, division, or corporate function with major organizational impact. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the given major function or line of business. Has acquired the business acumen and leadership experience to become a top function or division head. |
