| Requirements and Responsibilities For Project Management Manager |
| Manages project management operations and project teams to ensure successful planning, execution, and completion of organizational initiatives. Develops project management methodologies, governance processes, and resource planning strategies to support operational and strategic objectives. Oversees project schedules, budgets, staffing, and risk management activities across multiple concurrent projects. Coordinates with department leaders and stakeholders to establish project priorities, allocate resources, and resolve project-related issues. Evaluates project performance metrics and implements process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and project outcomes. Leads project staff development, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function. Requires a bachelor's degree. May require Project Management Certification. Typically reports to a director. Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. Extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. |
