| Requirements and Responsibilities For Biopharma Process Engineering Senior Manager |
| Leads and manages a team of engineers that are responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing biopharma processes. Oversees the process simulations, modeling, and scale-up studies to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Reviews and evaluates processes to enhance yield, productivity, and product quality. Identifies process bottlenecks, performs root cause analysis, and implements corrective actions to improve process performance. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and align with industry best practices. Stays current on emerging technologies and trends within the biopharma industry. May require a master's degree in biological/chemical engineering or a related field. Typically reports to a director. Typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. |
