| Requirements and Responsibilities For Advanced Manufacturing Engineer Director |
| Directs and oversees the utilization of advanced or innovative technologies to optimize and improve manufacturing processes for a production facility. Provides strategic oversight and leadership to adopt and deploy new technologies such as robotics or automation that reduce costs, improve overall efficiency, and expand manufacturing capabilities. Identifies and defines functional needs and specifications and plans the entire project lifecycle from research and design to development and implementation. Develops policies and procedures to guide workflow, define quality standards, and ensure compliance with industry and safety regulations. Coordinates and evaluates vendors to drive cost savings and facilitate reliable and consistent production schedules. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. |
